Edit your video and be cruel if needs be! You need to get to the point quickly, which is why we spend a lot of time here on condensing our customers’ business message into 60-90 seconds in total in the videos that we produce for website home pages.
You have 6- 8 seconds to capture your viewer’s attention. Make sure that the video is engaging, informative, relevant to the viewer, and that the viewer will clearly understand that the message is for them! Remember, a video on your website homepage doesn’t have to tell the whole story – it does have to make the viewer want to take the action you need them to take though. What is that? Give you their name and email? Call you on the telephone? Use a Contact form? Think it through and ensure the call-to-action is strongly presented in your video.
